The Motorcycle show.
Last
weekend was very busy. I organized the Norwegian vintage motorcycle club`s
display at the two yearly motorcycle show near Oslo. Here`s some photos of the
display.
It is 150
km from me to the show…..So I better not forget anything.
Can it be……Yes,
it`s Steve McQueen`s long lost second cousin….
It seems
that café racers are the thing to have this year…

Recycling.
Some years
ago I went to the Manx Grand Prix. As the good husband I am, I bought my wife a present:
gold ear jewelry with the three legs of Mann. But surprise, me and my wife have
different taste……The gift was left unused in her drawer….
But now I need
some bling for a Norton, so late one night I reprocessed the gift…
This will
most certainly make the bike go faster, and Isle of Mans motto: "Quocunque
Jeceris Stabit" "Whithersoever you throw it, it will stand" will
make sense when I go arse over tit ….

Hunting season...
It is
Hunting season in Norway now….The perfect time to overhaul a Joe Hunt magneto. New
bearings, oil seal, points and condenser. I don`t want to be a sitting duck in
the spring…

These brake
linings came with some Norton 16 H parts. I did not know that 16H`s are capable
of high speed….But only the best are good enough…..

Free beer...
Last night I
helped a friend to install a new magneto and set the ignition timing on a 1938
Ariel Red Hunter.
After he
left I discovered a bottle beer he had left for me…..
I don`t
need enemies when I have friends like that…..

Classic Remise Düsseldorf
This is the
place to go to in Düsseldorf. Here you can have a meal and a beer among classic
cars and bikes.
At this
museum like old roundhouse for locomotives you can find workshops, related
businesses, retail shops for classic car and motorcycle and sales and showrooms
for classic cars. There is also a Ducati dealer there.
Owners of
classic cars can rent one of the 75 completely glassed-in individual garages
where they can park their cars.
