An Idiot Abroad...or two?

A “friend” phoned me and asked why I never had any photos of my wife or other ladies on my blog….Well, on the web there are sites that specialize in photos of females…in all shapes and sizes….Anyway Gunnar is my own Karl Pilkington (So that makes me the vintage bike blogger answer to Ricky Gervais….)

Just to rub it in….Two male idiots abroad:

It is not hard for me to look ridiculous.

I want them…..all…

Yes….I does know you got one of these….

Well Gunnar…..Size does matter….

Yes…I do know you like the BSA power egg….Hence the title of this blog piece…

The legendary bike.

The legendary rider.

Hmmmm…….nice legs…..

That’s one of the bucket list, Gunnar.

Four museums and a party...in one weekend. Part 2

The Sammy Miller museum is just an hour or so from Beaulieu.
This is a museum you can spend days. If you are into old bikes and memorabilia that is…….For some an hour is enough.

No! That is not Lawrence of Arabia. It is Gunnar of Horten. The glasses on his head is a certain giveaway.

The place is filled up with bits and pieces connected to motoring.

Check in for more from the Sammy Miller museum soon.

Four museums and a party...in one weekend.

A weekend in July my friend Gunnar and I went to England for a weekend. We managed to go to four museums and a party.
Saturday morning after a large English breakfast we entered the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu.
Here are some photos of some of the exhibits.

Home of famous speed record breakers.

The devil is in the details…..my diabolic companion is studying the gems on a 1928 Rudge Withworth.

The National Motor Museum, Beaulieu is a must to visit. It`s a great place to bring family as well.
We are off to the Sammy Miller museum…..Stay tuned.

Garage party.

I have just recovered from a bad spot of wine flu. The reason was a garage warming party. Cato has built himself a wet dream of a garage. I had a good time and a chance to look for cool stuff …….

Cato shaking hands with Mr. Jack…

We all got T shirts, see the translation.

«I was there»

“ When Cato had filled up the garage”

The sons had a honest text on their shirts.

“To look after my inheritance”

The man himself…..about 35 years ago…..

Only one left….It`s time to get home.
