HEDEMORA TT

Finely we have arrived at the Hedemora pits. We had super sunny weather with 30C for 8 hours all the way in Sweden. Friday night the rain came, so we had to put opp the tent and make some adjustments with sticks from the wood. That's what outdoor lifes about... The BSA can`t wait to get the throttle opened. The best thing you can eat at a motorcycle event: Bullens pilsner korv! Really puts the lead in your pencil. This whats its all about, a 1931 Husqvarna 500cc racer.
A Manx Norton from a rats view. That`s where the Christmas fairy lives.

Guinness is good for you, we all know. But it is the first time i have seen it used for a pipe extension on an early KTT Velocette.

A NSU Bullus is not the bike you see on every meeting.
Gentlemen, start your engines! Sound of music.

A Scott TT bike, rear and nice!
Vincent 500cc from 1951.
Husqvarna V twin....without the V. Missing the rear cylinder.

Hedemora TT jubeleum 2008

It`s only a day until I am going to Sweden for the Hedemora TT jubilee. The first race was held her 75 years ago, and the last 50years ago.

The track are public road that are closed for the event (hopefully). This year nearly 100 classic racers will be there.II am going with my BSA Gold Star 350, ca 1954. The photo shows it as a cafe racer. I just have to remove the cafe, and voila: a period clubmans racer!Have to add some tuning and polish before it goes in the caravan.
The engine has twin sparks from a PAL magneto, GP carb, Pearson crank and a lot of "go faster goodies".

If the trailers rocking, don`t come knocking

vintage rally

There was a local vintage motorcycle rally this Saturday. I went over on a modern bike to have a coffe and talk to the lads before the start

Stein`s eastern marvel, a MZ TS 250 `76 getting a god kicking.
Only 12 bikes showed up. A 1963 Norton Dominator in front.
Where are the nice girls?
A fine Matchless G12CS, 1960.
Per`s getting ready to go on the mighty HD 1923.
Smells like a police bike? But you can go all day with that tank.
1954 Royal Enfield and a Zündapp KS 600 1941.

Triumph Thunderbird Party

Some time ago i got an assignment to find a "cool" bike for my friend Kjetil`s 40 years birthday. Usually we just bring some wine ore booze to a birthday party, so this is gone create a lot of problems for everybody else. But when the girl friend wants to bye the man in the house a bike, you just have to do what she wants. Where do you find a girl friend like that? Usually they want you to sell the bike and get a nice family car. This is the bike i ended up with: Triumph 6T 1952 in nice working condition.
A Hunt magneto is king of cool!
This was a surprise party so we had to hide the bike on a trailer.
Ready to go!
Some of the boys got a ride with the trailer. He did not know what was happening. Was waiting for some friends to help him with the house,

I think a side car is next step!

Tångarallyt 2008

Trond`s 1962 Jawa 250 are making their way in the fields.

Nice and shiny before the start.
Sound`s good on straight pipes.
Dag is standing on the Ariel. Probably looking out for badgers hiding in the grass.

TÅNGARALLYT 2008

Jan Roar on he`s newly assembeld 1973 Honda XL 350. He looks ready to handle 110 km of path`s, grit roads and streams.
Still got the speed, but had some poblems with the engine sizing after a rebore and new piston. It ain`t fun if it don`t cost you some.
Looking serius!
Here we have "all rounder" Tom on he`s 1970 Ducati 450. After some point adjusting in the woods, he gained some serios speed.
Here we are gatherd for some pep talk around Torstein`s 1974 Yamaha DT360
