I have just timed the ignition on Hans T`s Ok Supreme. Why
are you looking for blue smoke? The bike is OK. It`s running supreme……

Mr Joseph Lucas strikes again.
We were early up this morning. Bikes loaded on the trailer the night
before. Sweden and “Rally på Dal” where
the destination of or journey.
This was the first time I was going to ride the Sunbeam more
than a few miles.
This nice 1929 Ariel A, 557ccm, was ridden by its second
owner.
Never underestimate the importance of food……
An unplanned stop. No spark at the plug. It`s time to get
dirty and sweaty…..Checking pick up and earth brush, but I can`t find anything
wrong. After a while the magneto are working again. I am getting a bad feeling
about this magneto………
Stop number two, my suspicions are right. The condenser has
decided to call it a day. Yes, the fool on the hill was me, waiting for
transport. A Ariel Square four are thundering past.
The magneto are going of tomorrow and it`s anchors away…..

Snowy swap meet.
I had planned to sell a lot of parts and junk at the Ekeberg
auto jumble. We went in on Friday evening to unload all the treasures and be
ready for Saturday mornings happy byers and hoarders.
Can you imagine the surprise when we woke up to freezing
slushy snow weather after sleeping rough? Auto jumbling is not an easy way to
make money. I just managed to motivate myself to take a few photos.
No, this is not the crew from The Deadliest Catch show. It`s
my friendly Nabors.
Rain gear are for kids and females……..Denim and a wool cap solve most weather
problems.
An AJW with JAP engine and Sturmey-Archer gearbox brought in
from a hard life. Probably too late to rescue.
I had no problem to restrain myself from buying it……….
The weather improved and this happy cat had made a lot of
money to support his lifestyle.
Miss and Mister American Motorcycles Norway are admiring a friend’s
bargain. But where is The Star-Spangled Banner? Are they changing to Union Jack
and starting with right shifting bikes and joining the Limey boys?

Wild hog.
I was out for a ride today and met this hog walking in the
road. I am not sure, but I think it`s a flathead……

Lifting out the spring necessities
This weekend I had planned to go to bike run in Oslo, but things
do not always go as you wish.
So instead it was time to get some help and lift the Ariel
out of storage from a cellar.
At the same time we lifted a Bultaco Pursang and an incomplete
BSA C11 out as well. I am bringing them to the Ekeberg auto jumble next
Saturday.
The helpers are having a well-deserved ice cream.
Oskar wanted to test the old man’s Ariel.
If the engine stalls you have to learn to kick it boy.

JAP worm drive
The OK Supreme is nearly ready, there are only a few more
things to do. I have been waiting for this part for a long time. The new crank
parts where different from the original so a new worm drive had to be made.
First class mail from Sweden.
If the parts fit at first attempt there must be something wrong.
I had to grind down the nut, too big for the oil pump housing.
Timing time.

Cranked up for Easter
When I returned home last night this crank was waiting for
me at the doorstep. A rather big and furry Easter bunny had delivered an overhauled
Norton ES2 crank with a new big end…….Great; I just have to get the crankcases
ready now.

London attractions.
If you search for London attractions on the web you will find a lot of interesting places to visit. Here are two you can visit in the same area…….slightly different from each other: The British Museum and Lewis Leathers Ltd.
You can`t resist to get something from a kiosk like this. It`s outside the British Museum.
Not far from the museum there is another great place to visit: Lewis leathers Ltd.
The shop looks just right with a “cafe" Triumph in front.
Just like Steve McQueen’s jacket.
“Ride a BSA”….. Yes sir, I will.
